The Great Tropical Jazz Party is an
annual jazz festival on Magnetic Island, with the first party
held in 1997. It has grown in stature each year, as the word
spreads about this unique, fun, music festival held beneath
the palms on a tropical island on the World Heritage listed
Great Barrier Reef.
Over the past fourteen years a variety of
talented musicians have descended upon this tropical north
Queensland island for our annual jazz festival. Acclaimed
musicians have travelled from far and wide to participate in
the Great Tropical Jazz Party on Magnetic Island. Many take
the opportunity for their families to accompany them, combining a tropical holiday
in sunny Queensland while mingling with their
peers.
